Water saving devices would mainly include a new dish washer and water saving at showers and urinals (constant flow at present), perhaps even water free urinals.

Nevertheless, a storage tank is planned in order to reduce daily peaks and stabilise flow over a week. At the same time it is used as a settling tank for solids. This storage tank is made of prefabricated concrete rings as are used for septic tanks. A special device will regulate the outflow. A second tank, designed as a standard three-chamber septic tank is providing the mandatory second and third chamber of a simple pre-treatment and a pumping well.

At the end of a sewer the wastewater flow is divided onto two vertical flow reed beds, one being the common RBTS. This is fed with pump in order to allow the exact determination of its load and feeding intervals. The second reed bed is fed in intervals through a pipe valve with the remaining wastewater.

The outflow is released into the ground in french drains.
